* Guest Speaker Jeremy Worthington from Artisana Alley Mornington

* Rotary 49th Annual Golf Tournament

The guest speaker at our Dinner Meeting at Toorak College on 4 October was Jeremy Worthington from Artisans' Alley Mornington. Jeremy gave a most interesting talk on this local business which is the 'home' of local designers and artists.

Having trained and worked as a mechanical engineer Jeremy went on to work as a business advisory consultant. As such he worked at KPMG, led the small business division at PwC and established his own consultancy. This career provided him with experience and understanding of strategy, efficiency, effectiveness, cash flow and profitability that contribute to a successful small business.

Eventually Jeremy established Artisans' Alley in Mornington where numerous local artists and artisans display paintings, sketches, sculptures, jewellery, ceramics, greeting cards, homewares, skincare and other products. More than 200 local artisans have taken part in this enterprise.

Jeremy fielded a range of questions that demonstrated Rotarians keen interest in this local business initiative.

Jeremy received the tradition RCME Thank You Glass from chair Suzie Adam

49th Annual Rotary Golf Tournament

Rotarians Suzie Adam, Chair of the meeting on 4 October, and Judy Colts shared a video presentation encouraging Rotarians who are golfers to participate in the 49th IGFR Australia Tournament, hosted by the Rotary Club of Belmont, at the Thirteenth Beach Golf Club on 18th to 23rd April 2027.

Thirteenth Beach is the current home of the Vic Open Golf Championship which has been held there since 2013.

Starting with Registration on the late afternoon of Sunday 18th April and finishing with a Presentation Dinner on the evening of Friday 23rd April, this tournament offers an exciting opportunity to both play four rounds of golf and enjoy many of the attractions of the Geelong, Bellarine Peninsula and environs. There is a detailed program for non golfing partners including tours of Geelong, visits across the Bellarine Peninsula to historic Queenscliff and a tour of the Great Ocean Road. A lay day on the Wednesday offers the opportunity for visits to local wineries  and a Piano Bar Dinner.

For further information contact the Registration Director David Yellard on 0407 840 280.
