There's this President who jumps out of the window after Changeover; on the way down he's heard to call 'So far, so good'.

The individuals in any great club [as ours] when their individual efforts are combined, total more than 100 per cent; a mathematical impossibility. But we are multi - skilled and complement each other without complaint. How many others in the community know how to disassemble a playground and ship it overseas? Let alone at our age.

We ourselves as individuals are 'ordinary people' who others walk past without knowing our special calling. The most common question I am asked about involvement is a nonplussed "Why?". Do we not have 'better' things in our lives? I say, different things in our lives; some work, some are retired, some assist others, many [of us, at least] have families, grandchildren and even friends!

District require us to 'think outside the box' and not be hide - bound by captive thinking; lest we become irrelevant to those we seek to serve. To look at the intensity of members' efforts, not just its length. A truck driver is no more or less important than the person who loads it. We do not say 'LONG Service above Self' ask any of our benficiaries.
