The Rotary Club of Mount Eliza is proud to reflect on another remarkable year of service, fundraising and community support. Thanks to the generosity of our members, volunteers, sponsors and the wider community, we have continued to make a meaningful difference both locally and internationally. During the 2025–26 Rotary year, we raised $119,272, enabling us to support 35 community groups, charities and organisations. Behind every dollar raised are the countless hours contributed by our 50+ dedicated members, who volunteer their time throughout the year to organise events, support projects and strengthen our community.
A volunteer organisation with maximum community impact
One of Rotary's greatest strengths is that we are entirely volunteer-led. Every member of the Rotary Club of Mount Eliza generously gives their time without payment, allowing 100% of the funds raised through our community events and fundraising activities to be distributed back to charitable and community causes. From local projects that improve life on the Mornington Peninsula to international humanitarian initiatives, every dollar donated or raised stays focused on creating positive impact.
Our major beneficiaries this year included Cobb Road Dog Park, Mornington Community Support Centre, Mt Eliza Fifty Five Plus Club, Opportunities for Development through Art (ODA) School in Cambodia and the Ukraine Crisis Appeal. We also provided important support to The Bays Nursing and Midwifery Education Fund, Street Side Medics and CODE 9 PTSD, helping improve health, wellbeing and access to essential services.
These achievements were made possible through our major fundraising activities, including the Annual Golf Day, Spring Fashion Parade, Bunnings Sausage Sizzles, Calcutta for Cup Eve, Wine Tasting Fundraiser and the Mt Eliza Farmers Market. Many of these events rely on dozens of volunteers and the continued support of our local community.
Beyond financial contributions, our members continued to support local schools, collaborate on a multi-club International Women's Day fundraiser, champion women's initiatives across the Mornington Peninsula and contribute to projects addressing both local and global needs.
Every volunteer hour, every donation and every community partnership contributes to something bigger. Because Rotary is powered entirely by volunteers, every dollar raised is invested back into projects that strengthen communities, support those in need and create lasting change.
