Report from Cathryn
Carolyn and I met with teacher Linsy Breen and 4 potential children who will form the committee for this Earlyact Club.
- Phoebe and Aidan year 6
- Zac and Antonia. year 5.
They are an enthusiastic group of young people very willing and excited to become the "official team" to oversea an Earlyact Club under guidance of their Teacher Linsey and RCME Youth team.
Carolyn presented them with a few exciting opportunities to participate in, going forward, managing projects through the Earlyact process.
♡ Environmental initiative : recycling of cans/bottles: RCME will provide bags/ bins to school to support this project: encompassing all of the kids in the school: covering "local" EA club brief
♡ Providing tooth brushes/paste to support disadvantaged community through Mornington community centre: covering the community EA club brief
♡ Organise a Wheelchair for Kids event towards end of this year: covering the EA club global brief.
Of course all of the above will be presented to the school council/principal, that these are sustainable projects to fulfill the community requirments the school has to adhere to, before anything can be implemented.
A very positive start to this EarlyAct Club program, a lot of work to be done, with sincere support and encouragement from Youth Team RCME!!
At the moment there is no cost outlay to get this project up and running.
But as we enter into agreement with MEPS small costs may occur as projects develop?
