April 29: Homes and Acreage Real Estate team - Grant & Penny Perry(founders) and Candice Blanch(MT Eliza Branch)

 

Homes and Acreage Real Estate are the prime sponsors of our Golf Day for a number of years and support the event both financially and participation. They explained how they fill a niche in the market concentrating oin selling properties that have sufficient acerage to support farming and in particular, horse properties. Their buisness has grown considerably with a number of branches due to the excellent service and processes they have developed to meet the needs of people who need "horse properties". Chairman Phil in particular was most positive of their buisness and he should know.Penny revealed she was a winner of the prestigous the Garyowen riders award, the most prestious award in Australian horseriding competition. May 6:  Home Hospice and Frameless paintings -  Bronwyn Braden, Community Engagement Officer, and  Vicki Sayers.

 

Bronwyn spoke of the free pallative care the local Hospice offers to famillies in our area. It is a service that covers all aspects of pallative care from diagnosis to the death of the client.They provide the best pallative care available covering a whole range of services for clients and their families (see photos). It is a business that has grown 30% over the last three years. They deal with around 330m families in someway each week. Their clients range from 4 years old to 100 years old, though the majority are in the older range as you would expect. It was a fascinating presentation and is an organization our club supports. The various governments cover the costs of  most of the services they offer for clients but they fund raise to cover the many services they offer the famillies. Their main fund raising event is an online art auction called Frameless Paintings. Local and Australian wide artists offer paintings that people can bid for online. Stay tuned for more details.
