Vale Paul Harvey

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of our esteemed Honary Member and Past President Paul Harvey on Sunday 28th September.  He joined our club in 2003 when he and Pat moved to their beach side home in Canadian Bay Road, Mt Eliza.  Paul served as an inspirng leader and stalwart contributor to all aspects of our club as well as serving as a member and Chair of the District 9820 Foundation Trust Committee. He was appointed a Paul Harris Fellow with Sapphire for his service to Rotary over decades and in 2018, Paul was awarded the prestigious Royce Abbey Award for his outstanding work on the Rotary Foundation.

 

Paul was a very supportive and friendly member of our Club who was a friend to all and a true gentleman in all senses of the word. He exemplified the "4 way test".

As a Club, we pass on our sincere condolences to Paul’s wife Pat and the Harvey family and they will always be welcome at our Club and functions/events. Our thoughts are with them at this time.
