The Rotary Club of Mount Eliza’s annual Golf Day, held yesterday , proved once again to be one of the standout events on our calendar — bringing together community, generosity, and a shared commitment to making a difference.

With a terrific field of players, generous sponsors, and a great atmosphere both on and off the course, the day was a resounding success. While final figures are still being confirmed, we are pleased to report that a significant sum of money was raised. These funds will go toward supporting two highly impactful organisations: Street Side Medics and The Code 9 Project, both of which provide critical services to vulnerable members of our community.

A major highlight of the day was the auction, which generated strong engagement and outstanding results. This success was driven by the efforts of Phil Key, whose energy and expertise ensured the auction ran seamlessly. We also extend our sincere thanks to all sponsors and donors who contributed auction items — your generosity played a vital role in achieving such a positive outcome.

Events of this scale require a dedicated and capable team working behind the scenes. The Rotary Golf Committee once again delivered a professional and enjoyable event for all involved. In particular, we acknowledge David and Grace Rew, whose leadership, organisation, and ongoing commitment continue to be the driving force behind the Golf Day year after year.

Beyond the fundraising result, the day served as a reminder of the power of community — bringing people together with a shared purpose and creating meaningful outcomes for those in need.

We thank everyone who participated, sponsored, donated, and supported the day. Your contribution ensures that Rotary Club of Mount Eliza can continue to support important initiatives and make a lasting difference in our community.

Final fundraising totals and further updates will be shared in the coming week.
