Following our very successful international Zoom meeting earlier this year our Treasurer Chris Angerer continues to liaise with the RC Muehldorf in Germany.

Chris regularly receives their Bulletins (in German and in PDF format, which is very difficult to copy). If you would like a copy please see Chris.

The latest Bulletin from RC Muehldorf, Germany has a number of interesting points which Chris has summarised for our members:
  • The 8 seat rowing boat for their competitions arrived and can be assembled in 10  minutes, with rising temperatures training becomes more pleasant and everyone is looking forward to the races in September. Due to distancing laws current, they can at the moment only practice with 4 or 5 and free seats.
  • They are looking at participating at a regional tree planting day, as sponsors covering overhead and marketing costs. The project is directed to raise awareness of Water retention, Bee meadows, species variety and forestry etc., It will be a very good project involving media presence of the Rotary club. In November they will participate in a hands on planting project.
  • Their Friend Uli Kain now works Switzerland and gave a presentation about his new home called ‘Einsiedel’, namely ‘Hermitage’. He presented pictures and stories among them Language characteristics, sub terrain  Hospital of the Swiss Army, Big Mac Index ( see attachment, comparing price of BigMac in Switzerland to Germany, Australia ), corona restrictions etc.
