District Governor Emma Clark's Visit
At our Club Dinner meeting held at Toorak College on Tuesday 29 September we were delighted to have a visit from District Governor Emma Clark. As DG of District 9815, Emma's goal is to visit all 78 Clubs in the District at least once this Rotary Year.
Our Club members wore hats at this meeting as part of the focus on Lift the Lid, a focus on Mental Health, an initiative of Australian Rotary Health. There was a loyt of fun as DG Emma chose the four prize winning hats worn by Rotarians Carolyn Such, Neil Heron, Jan Berg & Bernie Edwards.
In her talk to the Club, Emma gave a broad overview of District initiatives, the work of Rotary International and the 2027 Conference in the Hunter Valley. She emphasised several key areas of focus including the future of Rotary, raising awareness around family violence and support for the mental health research of Australian Rotary Health.
With 34 years Rotary and Rotaract experience Emma, Principal of Emerald Primary School, took us through her life, professional and personal growth. Her message for everyone was clear: Keep evolving. Keep growing. Prepare for the Future.
