The Club meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the Anglican Church in Mt Eliza and is made up of an energetic and community-minded group of young leaders committed to service, fellowship and making a genuine difference.
Iain and Jim were warmly welcomed by Club President Charlotte along with members Lily, Quinney, Zary and President-Elect Keira, who chaired the evening’s meeting. Members Matthew, Talya and Daisy also joined online.
The breadth of projects and initiatives being undertaken by the Club was extraordinary and highlighted just how active and globally connected Rotaract has become.
Projects and activities discussed during the evening included:
- Assisting with the ANZAC Day Breakfast at the Frankston Dawn Service
- Collaboration with a Rotaract Club in Nepal, including two visits over the past two years
- A cultural exchange with the Rotaract Club of Debo in Africa
- Progress on “Draw It Clean”, an environmental sustainability initiative
- Supporting the Rotary Club of Rosebud-Rye BBQ on Market Day
- A “Teach the Teacher” program at Rosebud Secondary School
- The “Toothbrush Plus” initiative, encouraging dental hygiene and supporting people in need through local pharmacies and dental clinics
- Environmental projects including koala tree planting and support for the Devilbend Natural Features Reserve
- Participation in an Epic Day of Service
- The Southern Peninsula Winter Sleepout raising awareness and funds for homelessness
- Collaboration with other District 9815 Rotaract Clubs
- Attendance at fellowship and fundraising events across the District
The energy, warmth and commitment of the young Rotaractors was palpable throughout the evening. Their enthusiasm for helping others and tackling important local and international issues was deeply inspiring.

Iain and Jim left the meeting hugely impressed by the dynamism, leadership and genuine compassion shown by every member present. Seeing these young people in action reinforced a powerful message — the future of Rotary, and indeed Australia, is in very good hands.
Rotaract continues to play an important role in developing young leaders through service, connection and action within our community and beyond.
