Through a collaborative international effort, Rotary Club of Mount Eliza has proudly partnered with Rotary Club of Berdychiv to fund and deliver a modern water purification system for the school. This $6,000 contribution, aligned with Rotary’s March focus on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), ensures that children now have daily access to safe, high-quality drinking water.
This state-of-the-art system uses multi-level filtration, including reverse osmosis, to produce clean, mineralised water suitable for both drinking and food preparation. It’s not just about hydration—it’s about health, wellbeing, and creating an environment where students can thrive.
Importantly, this installation marks the first of its kind in an educational institution in Berdychiv, setting a new benchmark for schools across the region.
But beyond the technology, this project tells a deeper story.
It is a story of global connection, where two Rotary clubs—separated by distance but united in purpose—have come together to make a tangible difference. It is a story of resilience and hope, supporting young people in a community facing ongoing challenges. And it is a story of sustainable impact, with plans already underway to expand similar systems to other schools in the area.
As Rotary, we believe that clean water is not a privilege—it is a fundamental human right. This project reflects that belief in action.
Together, we are not just installing equipment.
We are investing in healthier futures, stronger communities, and opportunities for the next generation.
