As outgoing President Jim Young reflected on the year that was, he highlighted the remarkable contributions of members, volunteers and supporters who have helped deliver meaningful outcomes across local, national and international projects. The evening also provided an opportunity to recognise several Rotarians whose commitment exemplifies Rotary's motto of Service Above Self.

One of Rotary's highest honours, the Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who have made significant contributions to Rotary and its humanitarian work through service, leadership and support of The Rotary Foundation.

The Meritorious Service Award recognises exceptional commitment and contribution to Rotary programs and initiatives. These recipients have consistently demonstrated leadership, generosity and dedication in advancing Rotary's mission.

The club was proud to recognise Yvonne Simpson as the 2025/2026 Rotarian of the Year. Through her leadership in communications and public image, Yvonne has helped elevate the club's profile, share its community impact, and strengthen connections across the region. Her dedication, creativity and commitment to service have made a significant contribution to the success of the club throughout the year.
Looking Ahead
While the evening celebrated individual achievements, it also served as a reminder that Rotary's impact is only possible through the collective efforts of members, Friends of Rotary, volunteers and community partners.
As the club begins a new Rotary year under the leadership of President James Voss, we thank all award recipients for their dedication and congratulate them on their well-deserved recognition. Their service continues to inspire our members and demonstrates the difference that can be made when people come together to create positive change.
