Well you see, Mike, Brynton and I attended the MUNA Assembly in Canberra during August. The RCME sponsored the Delegation from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, a.k.a. 'North Korea'. Our delegates were: Joanna Angeletos of Frankston High School, Trinity Joseph and Callum Mann both of whom attend Mt Eliza Secondary College. The Assembly is a model of the U.N. format. It is run accordingly, with protocols and guidelines which must be studied prior to attending. Delegates arrived in Canberra from Thursday 15 August and departed on Sunday 18 August. The whole event was overseen by Canberra Sunrise. Qualified people oversaw, guided and mentored all proceedings. The Friday morning allowed for delegates to visit 'their' Embassies. We were constrained by the fact that the closest DPRK Embassy is in Jakarta. 'Real' events were debated, relevant to what we hear about and read; like Press Freedom. This was hotly contested by all countries and their reasons for censorship [or not] surprised many of us. Quite profound. DPRK spoke in favour of censorship, as did North Vietnam, Indonesia, China, Afghanistan and South Africa among others. The 'Censorship' Countries won this debate by one vote with two abstaining. Our delegation presented their motions and arguments, formed alliances with other countries and spoke with feeling. Indeed, our Delegation's use of 'light and shade' was commended by the Chairman. On the Saturday evening there was a formal dinner, with the guest speaker working in our diplomatic corps. We sat with our MUNA executives as well as Joanna, Callum and Trinity. DPRK being from a 'Rogue State' I had no trouble in annexing mineral water from the degenerate, wine - drinking capitalist countries. The French surrendered before I asked, the Russians and Chines provided interest - free loans. We RCME commend our delegates in all respects. As Mike Weber [Youth] and Brynton Fennell [Vocation] said recently 'we cannot be other than impressed; our Country will be in the safest of hands'.
