President's Message - John Welsh

President’s report 2nd December 2022

Hello Fellow Rotarians,

A last minute change last Tuesday as Paul Mee the District Governor became ill
and was not able to make his visit to the club. Hopefully we will catch up in the
New Year.
Carolyn arranged for the Directors to about their areas of responsibility. Linda
and Sue Talked about Santa’s Train on Saturday.
I have attached some photos. The A team set up the barbeque and cool room and
did their usual fantastic job. Linda and Sue and Carolyn and Janet, bought
wrapped and set up 60 presents for the kids and Bunning supplied via jenny
Mann building blocks for the children. Brian Mann from Mornington Rotary was
Santa. The CFA also turned up and gave the kids a look over a fire Engine It was a
great day and congratulations to all concerned.
The cluster attended the “Lost King” fund raising Movie at Rosebud. A few of us
drove down. It was a good movie and well worth seeing.
Next Tuesday we will be hearing from Jim Voss, not to be missed, we will also be
inducting 2 new members. I hope you will be able to attend. An important night.
The following week we have our Christmas party, the last meeting for the year
If you haven’t booked, please do so shortly.
A reminder that Maurie needs the raffle tickets back before the Christmas party.
I look forward to seeing you next Tuesday.

Regards
John

Apologies to Caroline and Chris Such - I have tried all I have ever learnt in IT to access the Interplast photos to no avail.  I think the file may have been too large.

Brynton's Joke of the Week
Brynton's Joke of the Week
The very first ever Blonde GUY joke..... And well worth the wait!
An Irishman, a Mexican and a Blonde Guy were doing
construction work on scaffolding on the 20th floor of a
building.
They were eating lunch and the Irishman said, Corned
beef and cabbage! If I get corned beef and cabbage one
more time for lunch, Im going to jump off this building.
The Mexican opened his lunch box and exclaimed,
Burritos again! If I get burritos one more time
I'm going to jump off, too.
The blonde opened his lunch and said, Bologna again!
If I get a bologna sandwich one more time, I'm jumping too.
The next day, the Irishman opened his lunch box, saw
corned beef and cabbage and jumped to his death.
The Mexican opened his lunch, saw a burrito, and
jumped, too.
The blonde guy opened his lunch, saw the bologna
and jumped to his death as well.
At the funeral, the Irishman's wife was weeping.
She said, If I'd known how really tired, he was of
corned beef and cabbage, I never would have given
it to him again!
The Mexicans wife also wept and said,
I could have given him tacos or enchiladas!
I didn't realize he hated burritos so much.
(Oh, this is GOOD!!)
Everyone turned and stared at the blonde's wife.
The blonde's wife said, Don't look at me.
The idiot makes his own lunch.
