Thirty of our members had a terrific night testing their arms at our Petanque night last Tuesday followed by a great dinner put on by the Mt Martha Bowling and Petanque Club. We were blessed by having a fine evening, but it became quite dark and really cold, and it was decided that a glass of red or other beverages may be the way to go. Andrea Bowles and members of MT Martha "Bouledrome" put on a fantastic meal of pre-dinner munchies, a build you own burger meal and lovely cake for sweets. Many thanks to Caryl Coulthard for helping our Judy and I with all the preparations and serving and Linda Morris for extra choccies to go with coffee. It was a great introduction to the game with many squeals of laughter and joy and the general comment was that we must do it again in warmer weather during Daylight Savings hours.
