Remembrance Day went off without a hitch.   Thank you to Carol Wallace and her team for the organisation of the day. All schools were represented and the talk by Tim Worrall was interesting and informative.  He spoke about the unknown soldier buried at the war memorial in Canberra.  This followed on from a talk by Mike Weber last year.   It was lovely to have two students with strong connections to our Club through Ross Schweitzer and Pauline McFarlane with us.

We were very active at Mount Eliza Primary School (MEPS) on Friday 8^th.  MEPS were celebrating their 150 year anniversary since the school opened.  Thank you to the Club members who were able to man the gates and raise funds for the school.  It also gave us an opportunity for the leadership team to launch the EarlyAct project for Term 4 this year Term 1 in 2025.  Their first project is to collect toothbrushes and toothpaste to supply community support centres in Mornington, Rosebud and Hastings.  Their second project is a

wheelchairs for Kids fund raiser and they were able to deliver some early promotion.

 

 

 

 

Last Tuesday 12^th we had a most enjoyable quiz night.  Thank you to Jim Young and Phil and Di Key for their organisation.  When I left home Chris said that I should try to get into Ross Schweitzer’s team.  He say seen Ross perform well on trivia nights previously.  It was a very good prediction because Ross and his team won the night.
