Publicity is a wonderful thing.  Where we can get it, publicity lifts the profile of our Rotary Club and the contributions that we are making.  It isn’t easy though and it’s something that we do need to constantly have as front of mind as we complete projects.
We have had a good mention in the current summer issue of the Peninsula Wide magazine issue by the Shire.  The article (page 14) highlights the work we have done in the Mount Eliza Park.  The seating and benches together with table cater for people with disabilities as well as family use.
It was also very pleasing to see an extensive article in the Peninsula Local paper.  The article highlighted the contribution of Somerville Tyabb, Mount Eliza and Frankston Rotary Clubs together to provide a new up to date ultrasound unit for the maternity department at the Frankston Hospital.  The new machine is already making a difference giving clearer faster insights into maternal and foetal health.

Last week we had an excellent presentation by our two National Youth Science Forum students.  Thank you to Jamie Hunt for organising.  The students go off to the forum in January and we have already locked in a date in February for them to report back.
I hope everyone has booked in for our Xmas function.  I look forward to seeing as many as possible on the night.
