Dear Max Sturt, an aged pensioner in a small country town in England was thrilled to receive a telegram from Queen Elizabeth on his 100th birthday. He and his wife, Ellen and family were treated to a Civic reception and a lift home in the Mayor's Rolls Royce. He was very worried that he wouldn't be around for his wife's up and coming 100th in 3 years' time. But when the time came, he was still extremely well but was concerned that Ellen was adamant that she didn't want any fuss or bother and just a quiet family dinner at home. When 2 weeks went by after his wife's birthday with no telegram, he took the chance to phone Buckingham Palace when Ellen was out shopping with their daughter. He was surprised to be put through to an extremely posh gentleman, ex Colonel Harrison immediately, after explaining his situation. "Oh dear Mr Sturt would you mind holding and we'll sort this out straight away. There must have been some kind of administrative problem" Max held on for what felt like a very long time. Ex Colonel Harrison finally came back to Max; "I'm so sorry for the lengthy wait Mt Sturt but we appear to have found the problem". "Oh wonderful" said Max "can we expect the telegram soon?". "No, all's good Mr Sturt, that telegram was sent 5 years ago". .
