President Carolyn's Notes
President Carolyn's Notes

Last week I presented the results of our Club survey. The survey was a great way to gain
the opinions of the whole Club on the things that we do. Key changes were that moving
forward we will apply Acknowledgement of Country on special occasions at the discretion of
the President. We will no longer have a Sargeant session but will recognise birthdays and
anniversaries as part of the heads and tails activity. The toasts will remain the same and we
will finish off with the National Anthem.
Overall I am pleased with the way our Club Assembly is working. The Directors and sub-
committees have the opportunity to develop their action plans and report back to the whole
Club. Everyone should know what is going on.
I am looking forward to next weeks International dinner at 42 Millbank Drive. We will be in
and out of the house. Its definitely cooling down so everyone needs a jacket. We will draw
the international raffle on the night so good luck to everyone.

Brynton's  Joke
Brynton's Joke of the Week

Vladimir Putin is riding around in his chauffeured Mercedes in Donbas when a pig suddenly bursts out of the underbrush, runs in front of the car, and is immediately killed.
Putin spots a farmhouse in the distance and tells his driver to go there and tell the people there what happened.
The car drives up to the house, the driver knocks on the door and goes inside, while Putin waits in the car.

A variety of loud noises come from the house, and an hour later, the driver comes out, thoroughly drunk and carrying a basket filled with vodka,
cognac and a variety of Ukrainian delicacies. Putin looks at the driver, stunned, before he asks.

"What did you tell them?!"

"The truth, sir! 'I am Vladimir Putin's driver and the old pig is dead!"
