President Carolyn's Notes
President Carolyn's Notes

Thank you to George-Anne, Sue, John and Neil who all covered for me over the last three weeks.  Chris and I enjoyed the weather in Port Douglas and by all reports  we didn’t miss any good weather here.  I appreciate the team effort.

George-Anne and I have completed all voting requirements for regionalisation. The results are in but I don’t intend to circulate them.  We will find a way for a more regular update on regionalisation project in due course.

George-Anne is getting ready for the Club AGM due on November 28th.  Watch your email for the documentation.
I would like to thank all Directors who have organising some great fund-raising events.
Our program is attracting the attention of Frankston Rotary who have expressed an interest in getting some inspiration from us.
Once again our Cup Day Eve Calcutta Auction was a fabulous night.  Jim Young, Suzie and Bernie organised brilliantly and it was capped off by another great performance by auctioneer Phil Key.  He is a valuable asset but as he said it was a great team effort.
There is one more Farmers Market before Xmas plus a very big Bunnings BBQ.  We did have the extra benefit covering for the Lions at the Farmers Market.  Please watch out for the rostering so we can spread the load.
I look forward to seeing as many members and friends as possible at the Afternoon Tea at Linda Morris’s home on Sunday 19th November.  Please book early.

There was no Speaker this week due to our Annual Calcutta at La Huong Vietnamese restaurant.

Jim Young again organised a terrific night of fun food and finding a winner!!
The fabulous Phil dragged every last dollar out of the diners which ended up creating a great winning pool on the day.

Thanks to Mike Weber for the photos, sadly I could only get these few to copy over to the Bulletin

Thank you to everyone who attended the Melbourne Cup Calcutta on Cup Eve at Le Hoang Vietnamese Restaurant.
